She stars in two of the biggest serials on TV. Surveen Chawla, who plays Kasak in Kasauti Zindagi Kay and Charu in Kahiin To Hoga, is in the middle of a short break. Chawla believes for now her hands are full with two dailies, but is looking out for exciting work as well. Surveen Chawla better known as Kajjal speaks about her co-star Apoorva Agnihotri and her love for acting. She plays the bubbly girl from Mussourie with dreams of finding her 'rajkumar' in ''Kajjal-Sabki Aankhon Mein Basi''(Sony) and has stolen a million hearts in the process.
Surveen Chawla is a small screen actress born in Chandigarh, India but soon moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in acting. Until her 10th standard she wanted to practice medicine, but she took up commerce in 12th and ended up graduating in arts. Initially her family was very reluctant to send her to mumbai to act and they were shocked when they came to know about this. She was hardly four days old to mumbai when she heard of the auditions that were being held by Balaji telefilms. She went there and after two days, she got a call saying that she had been selected to play the role of Charu in Kahiin To Hoga. She got a role as Kasak in 'Kasauti zindagi ki' She also played the lead role in Kaajjal- sabki aankhon mein bhasi but has now parted ways with the show due to a new storyline.Surveen was recently seen in dance reality show ek khiladi ek haseena with cricketer sreeshant and has also signed a 3-film-deal with percept picture company titled Paramesha Panwala(2008).She will be seen acting in her first debut hindi movie titled Carry on Pandu starring Ranvir Shoray as the main lead while Om Puri, Anupam Kher and Mahesh Manjrekar will comprise the supporting cast.
