Melissa Satta was born in Boston in an Italian family. Enzo Satta, Melissa's father was an architect and her parents were in America at the time for business purposes. Melissa had to spend most of her childhood on planes. Even with all the traveling, young Melissa loved sport-related activities especially football, karate and dancing. Karate garnered her a bit of fame as a child as she finished third in the Italian championships.
Sixteen years old Melissa Satta realized that her dream was to embrace a career in modeling so she thought she could give it a try back in Sardinia. She would next join the Venus Goddess agency. It was there that Melissa had the opportunity to meet various influential people through which she landed a spot in 2003's Miss Muretto and managed to come in second and awarded Miss Extreme. Melissa seemed to have founded a prosperous career that met her needs and expectations. However, she never considered abandoning school. Satta was only nineteen years old when she was offered the spot of Adrianna Lima in a TIM advertising.
Melissa would next get advertising jobs for such companies as Following and Sweet Years. The following step was entering the world of television. Melissa would soon be landing a part in several episodes of the 2006 series Il guidice mastrangelo and the film Bastardi alongside Gerard Depardieu Melissa is currently dating Christian Vieri, an elite soccer player.
